Jerez

Jerez de la Frontera is also known as "Soul of Andalusia", and it is the town of wine, horses and flamenco.

You can reach Jerez directly by air. The airport is located beside the motorway.

The "Horse" is one of the most important symbols of "Jerez". The long historical tradition of horses was in the 15th century on the hight. At that time the Carthusian Monks brought the famous "cartujano" breed horses to Jerez, which are still famous until today.

In many horse-riding events you can admire this noble race.

The "Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art" (la Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre) and the "Carthusian Stud" (Yeguado de la Cartuja - Hierro del Bocado) offer weekly events and daily guided tours.
